This is a flavorful, refreshing, all-purpose aperitif from Piedmont, Italy. It has a Brachetto d’Acqui wine base, with notes of white rose and berry. As per the official Americano style of aperitif, it is created with gentian, the bitterness of which is balanced with quinine and citrus. Can be mixed with club soda or sparkling wine, with a slice of lemon or grapefruit. Also adds nice depth to whiskey cocktails. Great with salty snacks and cheeses, such as Parmigiano Reggiano.
