This red wine, crafted from Chambourcin and Villard N grapes, involves a short 5-day maceration to enhance fruitiness, followed by a 10-day alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation, and 6 months of aging. These varieties replaced phylloxera-affected Loire Valley vines in the 1890s. On the nose, there is an intense bouquet of red fruits like blackberry and blackcurrant. On the palate, it mirrors this fruity depth with the refreshing quality typical of Loire Valley wines and a pleasing, velvety texture.
