Founder Erika Ollén, from Sweden, started making the first batches of Gnista out of her kitchen, and to this day they are made by hand. Barreled Oak is aged in whiskey barrels and meant to be used as a substitute for bourbons and whiskeys. It is warming, dark, and full-bodied. The tasting notes are dry and smoky, with tones of warm spices, chocolate rye, and a distinct character of oak barrel. Serve neat or use instead of rum/whiskey in no/low-alcohol cocktails.
