Created in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico area in the Veneto region, this wine is a dark ruby red color with garnet highlights. It has intense perfumes of black cherries, roasted almonds, and cocoa beans. Elegant and structured with a long finish, this is a big, bruising wine. Perfect with game, red meats, roasts, and aged cheeses (particularly blue cheese). Also excellent alongside a risotto with Amarone sauce or red chicory.
