Vinho Verde translates to “green wine”—essentially meaning it’s to be consumed in its youth. This wine has a light body, with slight fizz, notes of white pepper and peach, and sort of that yeasty ferment. Really delightful and thirst quenching, especially as an aperitif. Can be had on its own or with food—either snacks like olives and anchovies, or a meal of grilled fish.
