This Orange wine comes from Eliana Sanhueza’s vineyard in Trehuaco, within Itata Chile’s coastal range. Their 60+ year old vines are situated at 161 meters above sea level in granitic soils. The grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed, and placed into ancient Chilean amphorae for fermentation. This allows the process to unfold naturally without temperature control. Following fermentation, the wine gracefully matures for 10 months on its skins within the same vessel before being bottled with minimal intervention - no fining, no filtering, and just a touch of added SO2. This organic wine is elegant, citrusy, and floral.
