VNA Wines, located in Oltrepò Pavese in Lombardy, make wine in an innovative way, above all by using healthy agriculture. Their Maradona, named for the great Argentine footballer, is a white sparkling wine from equal parts malvasia and cortese grapes. The winemaking process includes short maceration on skin and refermentation in bottle, with the addition of fresh must. Aging is done in bottles with yeast, but with no filtration.
